Dreaming of Two Paths
Dreams that emphasize two paths are often related to choices. If you're facing a decision during the day before dreaming, you can be more certain that the two paths in your dream represent those choices.
One dreamer, while job hunting and torn between two companies, had the following dream: "I walked into an alley with another person, and there were two roads ahead, one to the left and one to the right. We took the left road first. On the left side of this road, there was a small house that resembled a cave. The door of the house was made of green stone and seemed to have some intricate carvings on it. (It reminded me of carvings on a seal.) I opened the door, and it was dimly lit inside. I felt like I had been to this place before. It was like a cave. On the left wall of the cave, there were statues of two strongmen, similar to the statues in Buddhist caves. Behind the statues, there was a window that let in some light. I thought it was brighter than the last time I was here.
"Returning to this house (outside the cave), we continued walking along the road, and the road ahead split into two again. The right road led to a small house. I knew there was a person inside that house who looked a lot like my younger self. I didn't know where the left road led."
"At this point, the person with me and I turned back and took the path behind us, which was the right road at the first intersection. An old man came out from there to greet us. I had a slight regret, not knowing where the road I didn't take would lead."
"The person who was with me in the dream first resembled a friend from Company A, then resembled another friend from Company B. These two companies were the ones I was undecided about. I am currently working at Company A, but the larger Company B has given me an opportunity."
Analyzing the dream, it initially presents the dreamer with "two paths" to choose from and then shows the current situation and prospects at Company A. The small house, cave, and green jade door represent the dreamer having some level of authority in Company A. The statues symbolize that both the dreamer and the friend must work diligently, and there will be some brightness ahead.
The next two roads represent two possible directions for development within Company A. Turning back and heading towards the old man represents the direction of Company B, with the people around transforming into friends from Company B. The characteristics of the old man resemble those of the boss at Company B.
Thus, it can be seen that although the dreamer feels regret about leaving Company A, they still "turn towards" Company B.
