Beware of Nose Troubles in Dreams

The nose is the highest point of the face and represents a person's status. When possessions and wealth are separated from oneself in a dream and suppressed to the lowest level, it implies that there is an issue with the nose.

The other day, while having tea and chatting with the CEO of a company, he jokingly mentioned a dream he had. He dreamt that his company suddenly went bankrupt, and he plummeted to the lowest stratum of society. With no other choice, he had to start over as a regular employee.

Various people in the dream bullied him, and some even kicked him down. The entire dream felt extremely oppressive.

I carefully observed his facial expression—pale without color, a dry nose, a red and swollen tip, and many small flakes near the nostrils. I asked him, "Have you been experiencing nosebleeds recently?"

He was startled and asked, "How did you know?"

The nose, also known as the "king of the face," is located in the center of the face, with its root connected to the heart and lungs. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the left nostril corresponds to the metal element, and the right nostril belongs to the wood element. Each nostril has its own designated time for breathing, and there is a point on the nasal ridge that serves as a switch for controlling the airflow between the left and right nostrils. In Taoism, the nose, ears, and eyes are considered as the "windows of clarity," each having its specific channels directly connected to the corresponding organs.

Traditional Chinese medicine often regards the condition of the nose as a basis for diagnosing the internal organs of the body.

The nose itself is an independent organ that protects our lungs from direct exposure to the external polluted environment, serving as both an air conditioner and a filter. The nasal cavity plays a crucial role in our sense of smell and taste.

Therefore, we should pay sufficient attention to any "restless" signals from our nose.

The nose is the highest point of the face, representing a person's status. In the dream, when possessions and wealth are separated from oneself and suppressed to the lowest level, it implies that there is an issue with the nose. The overall oppressive nature of the dream indicates discomfort in breathing and nasal congestion. Pale facial complexion, traces of blood loss, a red and swollen nose tip, and frequent use of foreign objects to clean the nose led me to conclude that he frequently experiences nosebleeds.

The nasal mucosa contains a dense distribution of tiny blood vessels, making it sensitive and fragile, which can easily rupture and result in nosebleeds. The causes of nosebleeds are complex, involving both local and systemic factors. Dry air, colds, allergies, excessive indulgence leading to weakness, intense gastric heat, liver fire rising, and liver and kidney yin deficiency as internal organ disorders can all contribute to nosebleeds.

Recurrent nosebleeds may also be a precursor to cerebral hemorrhage. Vigilance is necessary for excessive nosebleeds, and even minor nosebleeds should not be taken lightly.
